About me

Hello!  My name is Paige Hadley and I'm an Australian student and emerging writer based in Brisbane.

My dream is to write adventure fantasy books for children.  My children's short story Eye and Ears won the QUT Youth and Children's Writing Prize for 2014, but I'm still working on getting it published.

My favourite writers are F. Scott Fitzgerald, James Herriot, Jonathan Safran Foer, E. Nesbit, C.S. Lewis, J. K. Rowling, Ian McEwan, and Tim Winton.

My role models are Kathleen Kelly (from my favourite movie You've Got Mail), Anne Shirley, James Herriot, and the ever-enchanting Julia Child.

Some other irrelevant things I love are: caramel milkshakes, foreign films, brown paper, and watercolour painting (yes, I did the blog art myself).

About Bouquets blog

I began this blog in 2011 as a way of putting my love of reading and writing into words.  What makes Bouquets even better is being reminded that you're out there too, sharing my experiences and making your own.

I hope that as my world changes, this blog will stay just as fun.  I may not always write amazing reviews, but I'll be honest.  Sometimes I find it funny to look back at my early posts and marvel on how much I've changed.  In that way, this blog has chronicled me growing up.

I'm always excited to hear from you.  Leave a comment to respond to a post, or to share your own favourites!  (We're still working on our list of 100 Books to Read Before You Die, so don't be shy to submit a title.)

I hope you enjoy xxx
